Eve Seifert
Strategic DesignWhere do I come from?
Upon completing my A levels, I felt a strong urge to escape the tranquility of Elze, my small hometown in Lower Saxony, – as far as possible to the other side of the world for a year. Back then, the concept of self-discovery eluded me, and my €200 in Australia disappeared within a week. After a few jobs in the hotel and event industry, I decided to study tourism economics once I was back in Germany.
The decision to move to Berlin was made in an impulsive week. Then life took off rapidly – university, job, shared flat and new friendships – in that order. The genuine phase of self-discovery unfolded post my studies. Driven by curiosity, I expanded my education across diverse areas and worked in various roles. Whether as an analyst at an investment bank, juggling Excel spreadsheets and analysing assets, or as a social worker in Guatemala, building roads, planting trees, (and even sharing a bed with rats) - I found inspiration in exploring opposites. The idea of a lifelong career in a bank or permaculture didn't resonate with me, but I liked the transformation of fallow land into a small forest or crafting streets from stones.
My career path was similarly designed, marked by colorful stones representing my diverse experiences. This journey eventually led me to digital design in the tech industry, where I found my passion. The dynamic interplay between people and technology enthralls me. My aim is to contribute by understanding user needs and generating value through human-centered design. My further education in user experience and interface design and UX projects for different companies led me to K'UP, where I now apply and expand my expertise in cross-media channels.
What motivates me?
My enthusiasm for art and creative design, combined with an understanding of the psychological influence on people, is what motivates me. The joy of learning and the curiosity to always try out new things and acquire new skills.
Optimism is my driving force and I appreciate variety - both privately and professionally.
Inspiring people and an inspiring environment are very important to me. A good amount of humor helps me to take life's challenges easy. And for the occasional change of scenery, I like to travel the world with my backpack.
What is my strategy?
Listening, understanding, trying, implementing... And not taking life too seriously!
