The financial crisis led to Saarländische Landesbank having to completely realign itself. Business model, customer and brand strategy were put to the test. K'UP was entrusted with the naming and repositioning of the brand as well as the development of product and service innovations.
On the basis of a comprehensive strategy process, Kleinundpläcking fundamentally realigned the new SaarLB as a Franco-German regional bank. With the repositioning "foresight through proximity", the bank advanced to become one of the most successful regional banks in Germany just two years later. At the same time, Kleinundpläcking began to establish an internal innovation management system. After just six months, more than 80 percent of the workforce had submitted ideas for new business models. As a result, numerous new products as well as internal startup teams with significant earnings potential were initiated and a sustainable culture of innovation was established.
